With a background in strategic communications extending more than two decades, Amy Kavanaugh serves as chief public affairs officer with Taco Bell. She guides the full range of brand reputation management and traditional and social media activities for the company from her base in Irvine, California. Focused on sustainability and community, Amy Kavanaugh has led efforts to increase food and ingredient transparency.

Ms. Kavanaugh also serves as the Taco Bell Foundation’s executive director and guides a major teen-focused nonprofit that has raised more than $75 million over the past quarter century. She has spearheaded efforts that raised half of that total since 2012.

Ms. Kavanaugh’s career experience extends to a position in public relations with Apple, Inc. She oversaw the launch of a number of Apple’s mid-1990s Power Macintosh products. She subsequently engaged as director of marketing and communications with France-based Gemplus, where she worked to increase awareness of smart card technologies spanning the United States and emerging markets. Amy Kavanaugh’s efforts helped grow the innovation-driven company’s revenues to $150 million within two years.
